Project TRUSTING Kick-Off Meeting Marks the Start of a Milestone Collaboration

The inaugural General Assembly meeting for the TRUSTING Project was successfully held on the 6th of July in Zürich, marking the beginning of an innovative partnership among leading European institutions and experts. Chaired by Prof. Iris Sommer from UMCG, the assembly included TRUSTING members: University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), University of Tromsø (UiT),  Dokuz Eylül University (DEU), National Institute of Mental Health (NIHM), GAMIAN-Europe, European Psychiatric Association (EPA), Syreon Research Institute, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), University of Zurich (UZH) and University of Geneva (UNIGE).

The meeting opened with a welcome address, followed by an overview of the agenda. The assembly was briefed on the project governance, and the tasks and responsibilities in the project were outlined. Work package leaders were present, representing each of the WPs.  

The assembly also discussed the formation of a user board comprising patients and clinicians to provide feedback on the project’s tools, ensuring they are user-friendly and meet the needs of diverse European communities.

The meeting concluded with plans for the next assembly in Leiden, Netherlands, in June 2024. TRUSTING is set to pave the way for groundbreaking advancements in mental health, and this kick-off meeting has laid a strong foundation for its anticipated success.
