Can changes in the way we speak help identify early signs of psychotic relapse? This question is at the heart of the TRUSTING project. And it’s also closely linked to the research discussed at this year’s 39th European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) Congress.
Held from 10 to 13 October 2026 in Munich, Germany, the congress welcomed researchers, clinicians and experts in neuroscience and psychiatry. TRUSTING project partners were among those attending the event, which featured scientific discussions on developments in brain research and mental health treatment.

Exploring New Approaches to Psychosis Care
The ECNP Congress offered TRUSTING partners an opportunity to follow developments in psychiatric research. Engage with experts working on new approaches to understanding and treating mental health conditions.
TRUSTING is investigating how artificial intelligence can analyse changes in everyday speech to help identify early warning signs of psychotic relapse. The project aims to develop a trustworthy, speech-based monitoring tool to support people living with schizophrenia. This tool could help healthcare professionals recognise potential relapses earlier.
As TRUSTING continues its research and clinical study across Europe, staying connected with developments in psychiatry and digital health remains an important part of the project’s work.
